In the shadow of giants

A U.S. Air Force C-17 Globemaster III is refueled by a New Jersey Air National Guard KC-135R Stratotanker with the 108th Wing on Nov. 19, 2021. The shadows of the aircraft can be seen in an optical phenomenon known as a glory, caused by sunlight interacting with water droplets in clouds.
