The State Command Chief Master Sgt. is the top Enlisted Citizen-Airman of the State and is responsible for advising the Adjutant General, commanders and staff on military readiness, mission effectiveness, professional development, training, utilization, health, morale and welfare of the state's enlisted Airmen. The State Command Chief takes action to address shortfalls or challenges and provides leadership to the enlisted force. Additionally, the State Command Chief provides oversight, mentorship and guidance to the Wing Command Chiefs, Group Superintendents, and First Sergeants in the state of New Jersey.
